The first step in the LifeWISE Process is a Walk-Through+ Assessment of your home. Our methodical Walk-Through+ Assessment ensures that we understand your current lifestyle and future needs. This universal design assessment is critical to making customized long-term modifications. We also include experienced health care professionals in the process. They provide important insight on how your home modifications can accommodate your physical abilities as they change. Schedule an assessment today!
During the Walk-Through+ Assessment, we:
- Listen to and document your questions, concerns, wants and needs
- Digitally photograph the interior and exterior of your home
- Graph the floor plan with physical dimensions and measurements
- Learn how you live in your home and detail your lifestyle requirements
- Bring a health care professional* to make specific recommendations that promote safety, comfort, function and independence
- Deliver our 5-7 page written report that includes our analysis and recommended modifications, including a budget overview
- The Walk-Through+ Assessment fee is applied as a credit to your final renovation cost
*Health care professionals include occupational therapists, physical therapists and home care nurses. These medical specialists have educational backgrounds in physical and psychosocial conditions. They also have experience with appropriate home modifications to accommodate specific health conditions. If you are currently working with a health care professional, we welcome the opportunity to work with him or her to provide the best possible plan for you (See: Basic Assessment).
Basic Assessment (optional)
While a universal design assessment with one of our health care professionals is a hallmark of LifeWise Renovations, we recognize that you may not require this level of service. You may already know a health care professional who can assist with the assessment. If so, we offer a Basic Walk-Through Assessment at a reduced fee.
